A turning point in last night’s 95-91 comeback win for Team USA over Serbia seemed to be when Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic hit a 3-pointer for Serbia and looked over at Carmelo Anthony sitting courtside and did his signature celebration by putting three fingers up to his head.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Although Anthony said himself on a USA Basketball Instagram post that Bogdanovic’s celebration “wasn’t a taunt. It was respect,” Phoenix Suns and Team USA guard Devin Booker seemed to take exception to it.
“Respect the legends,” Booker posted on his Instagram story with a picture of him doing Anthony’s celebration in the U.S.’s previous game against Brazil Tuesday.

Booker had six points and played the entire fourth quarter in the win over Serbia in which the U.S. came back from down as much as 17. Kevin Durant called the game “one of the best games I ever been a part of,” as Booker closed the game alongside Durant and three other MVPs in Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Joel Embiid, and Team USA won the fourth quarter 32-15.
Now, the U.S. will go for its fifth-straight gold medal tomorrow against host-country France at 12:30 p.m. MST.
