Booker will be starting alongside Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. This will be his fifth start for Team USA this summer after he started three of the team’s five exhibition games.

Booker’s Suns teammate Kevin Durant will come off the bench for the second straight game as he recovers from a calf strain that sidelined him for all of the five exhibition games.

Some notable changes in this lineup are Tatum starting after not seeing any action in Team USA’s 110-84 win over Serbia on Sunday, and he replaces Boston Celtics teammate Jrue Holiday. Anthony Davis will start over Joel Embiid, who has struggled to adjust to FIBA play, while Davis has excelled defensively off the bench.

Booker had 12 points, going 4-for-5 from 3, against Serbia, while Durant notched a team-high 23 points off the bench Sunday.

Today’s game tips off at 12 p.m. MST on the USA Network and Peacock. This is perhaps Team USA’s most anticipated group stage game after South Sudan only lost by one in the exhibition between these two teams a few weeks ago.\
