Batting first and playing second base for the National League All-Star team will be the Diamondbacks’ Ketel Marte, as the lineups for the 2024 All-Star game have been announced.

William Contreras and Christian Yelich will represent the Brewers, Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez the Dodgers, and Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Alec Bohm the Phillies.
The only player not from a team that the Diamondbacks knocked out last postseason is Jurickson Profar of the San Diego Padres.
Starting on the mound for the National League will be Paul Skenes, who has not been in the majors for even half a season. Skenes was selected as the National League starting pitcher by Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo. Skenes, the #1 overall pick of the 2023 MLB Draft, has posted a 1.90 ERA across his first 11 starts. In each start, the Pirates have held a lead when Skenes exited.
It has been confirmed that Skenes will pitch only the first inning.
For the American League, the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, and Cleveland Guardians comprise most of the starting lineup, with seven of the nine starters. Corbin Burnes, the 2021 Cy Young winner, will take the mound to start.
