Kyler Murray In Attendance for Diamondbacks vs. Tigers Game

The Diamondbacks are taking on the Detroit Tigers in the finale of a three-game series Sunday. Among those in attendance are Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback Kyler Murray, receiver Greg Dortch, and offensive linemen Will Hernandez, Paris Johnson Jr., and Hjalte Froholdt.

Murray is no stranger to baseball, as he was once drafted in the first round by the Oakland Athletics in the 2018 Draft. He signed a deal that paid him a $4.86 million signing bonus but eventually chose to go pro as a football player after a Heisman-winning campaign with the University of Oklahoma. He was drafted No. 1 overall by the Cardinals the following spring and recently signed a five-year extension.

This isn’t the first time players from other Phoenix sports franchises have attended Diamondbacks games in recent seasons. Last season, the Phoenix Suns took in a game, with star forward Kevin Durant wearing a Corbin Carroll jersey. Diamondbacks players have also taken in games from the other team, with Ryne Nelson and Brandon Pfaadt recently taking in a Coyotes game.
