Record-Breaking Attendance: Cardinals’ Revamped Roster Draws Early Sellout for 2024 Season

Arizona Cardinals dancers perform for fans gathered for an NFL Draft party at State Farm Stadium Great Lawn in Glendale on April 25, 2024.

With fans eagerly anticipating the debut of one of the top wide receiver prospects of the past decade, Marvin Harrison Jr., catching passes from former Rookie of the Year quarterback Kyler Murray, season tickets in the lower levels of State Farm Stadium have already sold out, marking the earliest sellout since 2009.

The Cardinals, who are coming off back-to-back seasons with a 4-13 record, rank 3rd in season ticket sales this offseason, according to USA Today.

One factor possibly contributing to the Cardinals’ surge in expected attendance is their favorable home schedule. Arizona will face off against the Chicago Bears, now with Caleb Williams, the Detroit Lions, fresh off a trip to the NFC Championship, as well as the Patriots, Jets, Commanders, and Chargers.

However, it’s also the culture change that Jonathan Gannon, their relatively new head coach, and Monti Ossenfort, their relatively new General Manager, have brought to the desert that is finally exciting fans about their home team for the first time since 2021.

Although the Cardinals finished last season with a 4-13 record, three of their four wins were against playoff teams, including the Eagles, Cowboys, and Steelers. Once Kyler Murray returned from his ACL injury, the Cardinals ended the season 3-5.

Currently, the Cardinals’ win total line at DraftKings Sportsbooks stands at 6.5, with +300 odds to make the playoffs.

As NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport put it, the positive attendance news is “a sign of what’s going on with the Arizona Cardinals.”
