Late last night, the Arizona Cardinals reportedly signed a wide receiver about an hour before star Marquise Brown departed for the Kansas City Chiefs.

NFL Network correspondent Mike Garafolo announced that Chris Moore will sign with Arizona to a one-year contract.

“The Arizona Cardinals are adding WR Chris Moore on a one-year deal,” Garafolo said. “He played in all 17 games last season for the [Tennessee] Titans, grabbing 22 receptions along the way.”

The Baltimore Ravens chose Moore with a fourth-round (107th overall) pick out of the University of Cincinnati.

Throughout his eight-year NFL career, Moore played five seasons with Baltimore (2016-20), the Houston Texans (2021-22) and Tennessee Titans (2023).

The Florida native has competed in 106 games, gathered 1,710 yards from 138 receptions and scored eight touchdowns overall.

Even though Moore is not the direct replacement for Brown, he will join the Cardinals’ receiver core which desperately needs some star power. As of right now, Moore, Zach Pascal, Michael Wilson, Greg Dortch, Dan Chisena, Jeff Smith, Andre Baccellia, Kaden Davis and Daniel Arias make up the current situation in that position.

Arizona will most likely look to draft a wide receiver to fill that void this year, with Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr. atop that wish list.

Once there is confirmation on this deal, Moore will link up with former Titans teammate Sean Murphy-Bunting, who also signed with Arizona as a free agent. The Cardinals have added offensive tackle Jonah Williams, running back DeeJay Dallas, linebacker Mack Wilson, defensive lineman Justin Jones, defensive tackle Bilal Nichols and defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga.
