Leading the charge early was Grayson Allen, who set a franchise record with 7 three-pointers in the first quarter. This mirrored his performance against the Nuggets on Tuesday. However, just like Tuesday, Allen cooled off, failing to make a single three-pointer in the second half.

Nevertheless, Grayson ended the night with 26 points, and the Suns enjoyed a +12 advantage while he was on the court.

Alongside Allen, the Suns as a team struggled with shooting for the majority of the second half. With around 9 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, a Raptors 7-0 run narrowed the lead to a slim five points. At one point, the Suns had led by as much as 19.

Keeping the Raptors in the game was the 15 turnovers committed by the Suns, resulting in 25 points. Toronto also had three players with over 20 points, including Gary Trent Jr. with 28, RJ Barrett with 23, and Immanuel Quickley with 21.

But, a late surge protected the Suns’ lead, as Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal stepped up in Devin Booker’s absence. Durant, in particular, matched his number with 35 points on 11-19 shooting.

Off the bench, Bol Bol capitalized on the 16 minutes he saw, contributing 11 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

Riding a two-game winning streak, the Suns will be up against the #1 seed Boston Celtics on Saturday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 PM.

This kicks off a grueling stretch of the schedule that includes two games against the Celtics, a meeting with the Cavs, and matchups against the Bucks and 76ers, all within the next two weeks.
