The first-ever Hondo Rodeo Fest will be in the Valley from Nov. 7-9 and will have a $1 million competition along with performances from Zac Brown Band, Brooks & Dunn, Hank Williams Jr. and Old Dominion.

“This premiere event marks the first of its kind in Phoenix, merging the best in rodeo action with legendary musical performances under the bright lights of Chase Field,” a press release said.

PRCA’s No. 1 Bull Rider Clayton Sellars and the No. 1 ranked Shad Mayfield are going to compete in this elite event. Riley Webb, Shelby Boisjoli-Meged, Wesley Throp and Tyler Wade are also among those who will battle against some of the best in the rodeo world.

One of the organizers Dallas Jackson talked about both aspects of this unique event and said it was two years in the making until it finally came to fruition.

“The Hondo Rodeo Fest is poised to be one of the most sensational rodeo and music festivals the West has ever witnessed,” Jackson said.

Tickets will be available beginning on March 8. To purchase them, go to www.hondorodeofest.com or the ticket-selling and distributing company, Ticketmaster.
