According to a press release, Phoenix Raceway announced today that they are adding “Viva La Fiesta,” a Hispanic-themed exhibition that will take place during the race weekend of March 8-10.

In collaboration with Mexican beer brand Estrella Jalisco, “fans can experience a variety of fun activities and displays.”

The event will present a Q&A portion with Mexican-born NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suárez and players from the 2023 USL Champions, Phoenix Rising FC. Suárez recently won the Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway this past Sunday.

For entertainment, the raceway is offering musical and dance performances from groups like DJ J Medina, Mariachi Alas de Arizona and Ballet Folklorico. There will also be Lucha Libre Wrestling, Sophisticated Few Low Riders, food/drink trucks and more.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce Viva La Fiesta to all of our fans this spring,” Phoenix Raceway president Latasha Causey said in the press release. “This addition to our midway brings a whole new element of fun to Phoenix Raceway, and we hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do.

The Shriners Children’s 500 is at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.
