Connor, Mark Scheifele and Gabe Vilardi all scored for the Jets (36-15-5) who extended their winning streak to three games in a row. Scheifele recorded a four-point game with his goal and three assists.

Nick Schmaltz had two goals and Matias Maccelli netted the other for the Coyotes (23-29-5). Connor Ingram stopped 28 shots in Arizona’s 12th straight defeat.

With the puck ricochetting off of the boards, it bounced right in front for Scheifele to corral it and go backhand for a 1-0 Jets lead.

Schmaltz tied the game 1-1 after he capitalized off of a rebound on the power play with 6:15 left in the first period.

Dylan Guenther and J.J. Moser both took interference penalties 50 seconds apart, and the Jets punished the Coyotes as a result.

Connor scored before Vilardi dangled and caught Ingram out-of-position to extend Winnipeg’s first period lead to 3-1 in a 1:49 span.

Juuso Välimäki would then set up Maccelli for a tap-in at 6:11 of the second. As the period was waning down, Clayton Keller suffered an upper body and did not return.

Without their best player, the Coyotes continued to battle through adversity.

In doing so, Arizona knotted it up again 3-3 as Schmaltz buried his second goal of the game in the third.

Both teams threw everything on net until the final horn of regulation, sending the game to overtime.

Just seconds into the extra frame, Connor netted his second of the game and the game-winner.
