Early Tuesday morning, Jorge Soler inked a lucrative three-year contract worth $42 million with the San Francisco Giants.

Initially, it seemed the D-backs and the Mariners were the final contenders in discussions. However, the Diamondbacks opted to sign Joc Pederson a few weeks ago to fill the designated hitter (DH) role instead.
Last season with the Marlins, Soler came close to achieving a career-high with 36 home runs, an accomplishment that earned him his first All-Star game appearance.
In 2023, his performance placed him in the 94th percentile in xSLG and the 81st percentile in average exit velocity, according to Statcast data.
