Strength of schedule
In their first season apart of the Big 12, ASU will face nine in-conference teams with five of those matchups being on the road.
They will face off against nine of the toughest opponents in the conference and be put to the test on whether or not they are ready to compete in the Big 12.

The Sun Devils will kick off the 2024 season in an out-of-conference matchup with the Wyoming Cowboys.
The Cowboys finished the 2023 season with a 9-4 record and went undefeated at home. However, they did struggle on the road allowing Arizona State the opportunity to start the season strong.
Capping off the season correctly
There is only one way to end the season and that is a Territorial Cup matchup with the Arizona Wildcats. This game will be on the road for the Sun Devils and they have lost the past two matchups against the Wildcats.

The Sun Devils will look to change the momentum of the Cup now that both teams have moved to a new conference. Considering the departure of Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch and the amount of transfers that it caused for the program, this could be the change that ASU needs.
It is a new era for Arizona State football as they can now officially call the Big 12 home.
