Key players for Oregon State

Oregon State is led by sophomore forward Raegan Beers. Beers is averaging a double-double so far this season, 19 points and 11.7 rebounds per game. She is shooting 65 percent from the floor and 72.9 percent from the free throw line.

In their last game against Arizona, Beers scored 20 points and grabbed 20 rebounds along with two blocks. She is the key to everything the Beavers do on both sides of the ball.

The player who sets the plate for this offense to eat is Talia von Oelhoffen. Oelhoffen is averaging 10.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds. The well rounded junior has scored at least 10 points in each of her last ten games.

Key players for Arizona State

The leading scorer for the Sun Devil’s is sophomore guard Jayln Brown. Brown will be looking to bounce back off of a subpar performance against Oregon. In that game she only scored 11 points on 4/14 shooting from the floor.

That type of performance is uncharacteristic of Brown, who scored 35 points in their previous game against the fifth ranked Colorado Buffaloes.

Standout stats

Oregon State is really good at sharing the basketball. They average 19 assists per game as a team, which is a big part of why they score 75.1 points a game. That is sixth best in the Pac-12.

Arizona State only averages 9.9 assists per game which is last in the Pac-12. This is one of the reasons ASU only scores 64.4 points per game, which is second worst in the conference.

On defense the Sun Devils have to find a way to disrupt Oregon State’s flow and slow down Raegan Beers. On the offensive end ASU has to move the ball and find easy baskets to have a chance to pull off the upset.
