Denzel Burke has decided to stay at Ohio State for his senior season, according to his own tweet. He has been great during his time in the Ohio State secondary. He also has 95 total tackles, 25 pass deflections, two interceptions, and one forced fumble across three seasons at Ohio State.

Burke was a four-star recruit out of Saguaro and was nothing short of a star there too. He was on the 2021 state championship team too. Before he decided to come back, Burke was seeing NFL Draft projections around the late first round, and then as high as the early second round.

Burke joins an Ohio State defense that is almost all coming back. The Buckeyes have loaded up in recruiting and in the transfer portal to compete next year in the new-look Big Ten after UCLA, USC, Washington, and Oregon are on their way to the conference.

Burke should be the best cornerback in the country next year and he is Scottsdale’s own. He could be an x-factor for the Buckeyes since he can completely shut down an entire area of the field. Look for Burke to be a difference maker next year.
