The sudden rise of Bol Bol has captured fans everywhere, as he quickly went from seeing no minutes on the court at all to becoming an important part of the Suns’ bench rotation.

Since Kevin Durant’s recent injury, Bol has seen meaningful minutes in the past three games. In this stretch, he is averaging 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds. When you take into account that before this week Bol had just 6 points and 4 rebounds on the entire season, his sudden emergence is quite remarkable.

Feeding off the crowd inside Footprint Center, which ensures Bol gets an ovation as soon as he enters the game, the 7’3 PF had yet another highlight reel play against the Miami Heat on Friday.

However, in the 4th quarter of this game, he slowly trotted back to the bench in obvious pain. After the Suns’ win, HC Frank Vogel did confirm that Bol had suffered a right ankle sprain.

It is unclear how much time Bol is expected to miss with this injury. Stay tuned for further updates.
