This morning, the ‘Yotes have announced that forward Dylan Guenther has been recalled from their AHL affiliate, the Tuscon Roadrunners, on an “emergency basis.”

With Jason Zucker currently serving a three-game suspension, it creates the opportunity for Guenther to have a short stint back in the NHL. Zucker still has two more games to sit out, missing the 5-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Thursday.

After his demotion to the Roadrunners before Arizona’s 2023 preseason concluded, Guenther has shined in his transition to southern Arizona.

In 29 AHL games, Guenther has recorded 10 goals and 18 assists for 28 points this season, leading all Roadrunners in scoring.

Guenther previously had six goals, nine assists in 33 NHL games at the beginning of last season before going back to juniors with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL.

Tomorrow, Guenther is in-line to make his season debut with Arizona as they face the Winnipeg Jets at 5 p.m.

Coyotes third period woes continue, lose 5-1 to Islanders
