Sahuarita dominated their way through the first few rounds of the playoffs but fell short 2-0 to the Saguaro Sabercats in the 4A playoffs semifinal.
Despite falling just short, the Mustangs proved that they could compete with any team in the 4A and should be considered contenders each year.
Sahuarita’s Departures
As with every high school team, the Mustangs lost several key players to graduation in May.
This includes two of their top four hit leaders from last season, Brian Brimmer and Hector Hernandez. Despite the losses, the team has more than enough talent to make up for it.
