Green announced he would enter the transfer portal right after the season ended. The DE had been the best pass rusher for the Sun Devils since he walked on to the team before the 2021 season. He earned a scholarship after a five-sack rookie year. Green didn’t have a great Sophomore year but was lights out this year. He had six sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 39 tackles, and a forced fumble.

Green had no Power 5 offers out of high school, so he came to ASU and walked onto the team. He was a three-star linebacker who became an edge rusher. Now, he is leaving ASU as one of the top transfers in the entire portal.

The 6’1 270 pound walk-on star found his new home and is headed to Washington. After an undefeated season, the Huskies are two weeks away from competing in the College Football Playoff. They ran through the tough Pac-12, but their biggest blemish was their close win versus BJ Green and ASU’s defense. He will now be joining a team that is losing a lot of key players to the draft. UW wants to make its presence felt in its first year with the Big 10.

BJ Green II will be a great player and teammate for Head Coach Kalen DeBoer’s system. He will make his presence known versus some of the top teams in College Football next year.
