What a day it was for Arizona Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram yesterday.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! Not only was he named as the NHL’s First Star of the Week, but he helped the Coyotes blank the Washington Capitals 6-0 on Dec. 4.
That was Ingram’s third shutout of his NHL career and his second this season.
Talking about the accomplishments, Ingram didn’t want to take all the credit as he believed the team deserves the plaudits.
“It’s a huge honor,” Ingram said. “But it is a team stat and it is good that the team gets some recognition around it. As a group, we’ll do whatever it takes.”
On this hot-streak, Ingram revealed a unique pregame ritual that he does before playing every time.
“I listen to Dateline (podcast) on the way here,” Ingram said. “They are about 40 minutes and that’s what my drive takes.”
Against the Capitals, Ingram stopped all 26 shots he faced as his record improved to 11-3 on the season.
