They started right as first-year head coach JJ Van Niel walked in the door, and you could see Van Niel jumping with his team. Not long ago, Van Niel thought 22 wins was a stretch; he is at 28 and in the sweet 16 in his first year after taking over a drowning program.Â
What a run it has been for the Sun Devils. They will now face the #1 seed Stanford Cardinal in the Sweet 16.
