Cardinals and Rams May Both Be Without Two Star Receivers

When looking over both the Arizona Cardinals and their opponents’ injury reports each week, some names stick out more than others.

This week, the Cardinals (2-9) face the Los Angeles Rams (4-6) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Nov. 26, but both teams may be without two of their star wide receivers: Cooper Kupp (LA) and Marquise Brown (AZ).

Originally being a limited practice participant on Wednesday, Brown did not participate in the Cardinals’ session on Thursday as he is currently dealing with an injury to his heel.

So far, “Hollywood” Brown has started in all 11 games this season.

Additionally, Brown has amassed 486 yards from 45 receptions and scoring four touchdowns.

While it is speculation, Brown may have suffered the injury in the Cardinals’ 21-16 loss to the Houston Texans on Nov. 19.

In Texas, Brown recorded his lowest total of yards received in a game this season with 18.

Since Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray returned from injured reserve (ACL), Brown’s statistics have taken a dip as of late.

Against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 12 and the Texans, Brown has only 40 yards from three catches passed by Murray.

In contrast, Kupp dealt with an ankle injury and left during the Rams’ narrow, 17-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 19.

After attempting to come back into the game in the second half, Kupp’s injury kept him on the sidelines.

To this date, Kupp has only suited up for six games this season for Los Angeles and started in each of those.

However, for the first-five games, Kupp had a hamstring injury that kept him out to start the 2023 campaign.

Since returning in Week 5, Kupp has gathered 375 yards from 24 receptions and 1 touchdown.

Unlike Brown, Kupp was a limited practice participant yesterday which may be a sign he could play Sunday in Arizona.

It is not official as to if either Brown or Kupp will be ruled out or play this weekend.

Once the Friday injury reports are released, Burn City Sports will keep you up-to-date as to the status’ of both Brown and Kupp.
