The Diamondbacks acquired Moreno back in December through a trade with the Blue Jays.

Since then, Moreno has surpassed all expectations in only his second season in the major leagues.

While he only played in 111 games for Arizona during the regular season, Moreno led the team in batting average, finished 4th in offensive WAR, and first in defensive WAR.

His impressive 41% caught-stealing rate dwarfs the competition, with Wilson Contreras coming in second at 27% among catchers who played at least 75 games.

Moreno continued this defensive display into the playoffs, leading his unexperienced starting pitching staff to a long postseason run.

The other Diamondbacks to win a gold glove this season was Christian Walker over at first base.
