Not only were the Phoenix Suns blowing out the San Antonio Spurs at halftime, Shaquille O’Neal had an interesting statement for Spurs’ fans, comparing No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama to Suns’ forward/center Bol Bol.

The 7-foot-4 Wembanyama had six points on 1-of-6 shooting at the break to go along with four rebounds and four turnovers. However, his only bucket came on a nasty posterizer.

Meanwhile, Bol has stayed on the bench for the Suns despite being an intriguing prospect since his high school days. At 7-foot-2, Bol possesses a guard skillset, which is why Shaq made the comparison. Shaq’s son, Shareef, was best friends with Bol Bol in high school.
The 23-year-old Bol was signed by the Suns on July 16 after being waived by the Orlando Magic. The fan-favorite has only made on appearance for the Suns in garbage time during Saturday’s blowout win over the Jazz.
