WATCH: Josh Okogie Taking Pride in Defense and Rebounding for Suns so Far

Josh Okogie has been a huge bright spots for the Phoenix Suns (1-1) who are dealing with injuries to Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

He has been crashing the offensive glass hard while guarding the likes of Steph Curry and LeBron James on the other end. Okogie had 10 points and eight rebounds (four offensive) in Thursday’s 100-95 loss to the Lakers.

In this interview at this morning’s shootaround, Okogie talks about his big goal in terms of his defense this year and how he takes pride in guarding the best players and rebounding on both sides of the floor, despite only being 6-foot-5.

“My goal is I want to be on an all-defensive team,” Okogie said.

The Suns play their home opener tonight against the Utah Jazz at 7 p.m. MST.
