Detroit Pistons

In the Suns first preseason game they were on the road against the Detroit Pistons. The Suns won the game 130-126 in overtime. Detroit made a comeback in the fourth quarter of that game to make it close. The first three quarters were dominated by the Suns.

Bradley Beal played very well along side Kevin Durant and Devin Booker in their first game together. Beal had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a plus/minus of +15 in 14 minutes. Beal was also efficient in this game shooting 3/5 from the floor and 1/1 from three point range.

Trailblazers in Phoenix

The Suns played against the Trailblazers in back to back games. The second one played out in a similar fashion to the first game. The second quarter seems to be the Suns favorite quarter. They were able to create a 20 point lead against Portland in that quarter.

Bradley Beal didn’t play against the Blazers in Portland. In this game it looked like there was a bit of rust as he shot 2/7 from the field. The positive was that he was aggressive and still able to make an impact on the offensive end by getting to the free throw line. Beal was 7/9 from the free throw line. He was also good on the defensive end as he got two steals.

Bradley Beal’s Preseason Grade

Bradley Beal was only able to play in two preseason games as he sat out three games for rest and/or lower back tightness. This can cause concern as Beal has missed at least 30 games in the last two seasons. Frank Vogel stated the everyone is good to go for the regular season though.

It is hard to give an adequate grade to Bradley Beal because he only played in two games. In those two games he showed that he can play well along side Booker and Durant. He also showed that he can still have an impact when he isn’t shooting the ball well. Beal’s grade for the preseason is a B. He was pretty good but not great but also only played in two games.
