Lee was given the starting nod by coach Frank Vogel, who praised Lee for his defense and energy, with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Jordan Goodwin out against the Nuggets.

Despite a 115-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the team’s second preseason game, Lee was impressive, totaling the highest assists (nine) on the team, as well as minutes (32).

He also had 11 points and two rebounds.

“My role is … just trying to make it easier for everyone else,” Lee said.
