Dodgers Rookie, Bobby Miller, is Ready for his Playoff Debut

Bobby Miller was called up in early May after pitching once in April. Since being called up, he has put together an 11-win season and a 3.89 ERA as a starter.

Now, Miller will be tasked with saving the series for the Dodgers. He will start game two tomorrow for his first-ever playoff start. Two days since his veteran counterpart, Clayton Kershaw, only made it one out while allowing six runs.

Miller, however, is ready.

The Diamondbacks got six runs off of Kershaw and 4+ runs off of every starter they’ve faced in the postseason so far, so Miller will have a lot of work ahead of him.

Miller has faced the D’backs twice this year. The first was on August 9th, where he pitched six scoreless innings. However, the D’backs got four off him in his next start only a few weeks later. So, he has seen mixed results and will be rooting for the former.

The Diamondbacks are starting ace Zac Gallen again. Gallen shoved six innings, only allowing two runs in the first in his previous start versus the Dodgers.

Gallen has had a terrible time versus the Dodgers this year. He pitched against them in his first season start and allowed five runs in 4.2 innings. He faced them in late August and gave up six runs in 5.1 innings. So, he will need to figure it out for the D’backs to have a chance in this one.

The game begins at 6:07 PM PT tomorrow.

The Diamondbacks’ young trio is on its way to making history
