The former Arizona native who went to high school at Saguaro High in Scottsdale intends to transfer to another school for an opportunity to get more playing time. He played as a backup in 4 games this season.
Shaffer didn’t start in any games this year for the Sun Devils and there is no report on the reason for why he left the team. He still has two years of eligibility left and since he only played in four games, he can use this year as a redshirt year.
Shaffer has played a total of 33 games in his career with Arizona State and has registered 12 solo tackles and 20 total tackles.
