Aiyuk scoored the first touchdown of any team on Sunday and finished with eight receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the 49ers’ 30-7 victory over the Steelers.

The 49ers drafted Aiyuk in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Arizona State.
Aiyuk had his best regular season last year for the 13-4 49ers, tallying a career-high 78 receptions, 1,015 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Aiyuk came to the Sun Devils in 2018 from junior college. In his two seasons at ASU, he had 98 receptions, 1,666 yards and 11 touchdowns. He broke out his senior year to lead to him becoming a first-round selection.

The 49ers picked up Aiyuk’s fifth-year option this offseason, and he strived to have an even better year than his career-best 2022-23 season. He made a statement with his Week One showing.
