Joshua Dobbs: “A huge jump is in store.”

The Arizona Cardinals lost the first game of the season to the Washington Commanders, 20-16. Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs didn’t have his best performance. He completed 21 of his 30 passes for 132 yards, 0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions. That is only 4.4 yards per passing attempt. That would be great for a running back but as a quarterback he has to get the ball downfield more for the offense to be productive. Dobbs also fumbled the ball three times and two were recovered by the Commanders.

In his post game press conference Dobbs said,”We found a rhythm but now its about keeping that rhythm and finishing drives.”  The Cardinals were in the red zone twice and did not score an offensive touchdown during the game.

Dobbs would also say, “I think a huge jump is in store.” When referring to the improvement he expects to see going forward.

This was not a great showing for the Cardinals offense but it is just week one. Hopefully, the Cardinals are able to find areas where they can improve going into the next week when they host the New York Giants.
