According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Big 12 voted unanimously tonight to admit Arizona State and Utah into the conference beginning in 2024. Utah still needs its Board of Trustees to approve the move.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Pending that vote, the league is on track to add all three members soon. That puts the league at 16 teams for 2024-25 and leaves the Pac-12 with just four remaining members.

As for Arizona State, the Arizona Board of Regents approved the move for ASU and Arizona yesterday, so they are set. All that’s left now from the two schools is an official statement. 247 Sports’ Jason Scheer now reports that an official statement could be coming any minute.
With so many leaks and everything, heard this could be made official any minute now.

Arizona State and Utah formally applied for membership earlier today, while Arizona was accepted as a member yesterday.
The move follows Oregon and Washington leaving the Pac-12 for the Big Ten this morning after the Pac-12 held a meeting with the remaining schools to attempt to sign a Grant of Rights for a TV deal with Apple, which did not happen.
