Former Oklahoma defensive lineman Kori Roberson announced today that he is de-committing from Arizona State and instead transferring to SMU.
I am soooo blessed to have been recruited by some of the most prestigious programs in the country…I know I had to only pick one…with that being said I am decommitting from Arizona State and committing to Southern Methodist University!

Commits to ASU. Visits TCU. Commits to SMU. Does a pitchfork (of sorts) in the new commitment graphic. Big yikes across the board.

When Roberson appeared to be headed to ASU, he seemed excited that he would get to play with former Sooner Clayton Smith, who transferred to ASU before the spring.

Kenny Dillingham and staff will have to recruit the portal once again to help fortify their depth on the defensive line.
Right now, the Sun Devils are in hot pursuit of Georgia Southern defensive lineman Jeff Clark. Clark, a redshirt junior transfer, visited Arizona State this weekend. He has been recruited hard to the Sun Devils by former high school teammate and current ASU star DL B.J Green (both went to McEachern High School in Georgia). Clark, listed at 6-foot, 276 pounds, had 39 total tackles last season and led Georgia Southern with 9.5 tackles for loss and was second with 4.5 sacks. His nine career sacks are top 10 in program history.

Whatever ASU ends up doing, it still has a few holes to fill, even with 29 other incoming transfers. The Sun Devils have a lot of talent on the defensive line, they just could use more depth.
