The D-Backs Took the Series Opener vs. the Oakland A’s

As we transition away from having our eyes on the Phoenix Suns, we look at some of the news for the Arizona Diamondbacks and a peek at the Cardinals.
In yesterday’s series beginning vs. the A’s, the Diamondback won 5-2.

Merrill Kelly pitched 7 innings, had 4 hits and only one earned run and 9 total strikeouts. His ERA for the year so far is 2.92 after 7 starts.
For the Cardinals,
though their first game has no set date, they will be facing the Denver Broncos. Historically, the Cardinals and Broncos have played 13 times total and the Cards have only won once. Now, I know this is the preseason, but in my research I found this to be an interesting stat to share.
The Cards will go on to play the Chiefs and the Vikings before heading into the regular season as well.
