After the first two games of the series between the Kansas City Royals and the Arizona Diamondbacks, each team has one win and one loss. Two dramatic 5-4 games in game 1 and game 2. Today is the rubber match.

In game 1 of the series the Diamondbacks pulled off a 5-4 win over the Royals behind Tommy Henry’s first start of the season. Henry pitched 4.1 innings allowing 3 runs on 4 hits.

Game 2 of the series, the Royals held off the late inning pushes from the D-Backs holding a lead a 5-4 to win. The Royals produced 14 hits last night and got a gem out of starting pitcher Brady Singer.

Royals, Diamondbacks, Rubber Match Today

Game 3, we will see Zac Gallen and his 21.2 scoreless inning streak take the mound for Arizona. The Royals announced Ryan Yarbrough, the lefty will take the mound for Kansas City.

The Royals and Diamondbacks are in polar opposite places right now as far as a team. Kansas City has only 5 wins on the season, while Arizona is 0.5 games back from first place in the NL West behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
