The incident occurred just before the start of training camp, as Brown was at the beginning of his first season with the Cardinals.

Nearly eight months later, the Arizona court reached a verdict, imposing a $473 fine for Brown’s criminal speeding charge. Although criminal speeding is typically classified as a class 3 misdemeanor, which involves a minimum fine of $500 or 30 days in jail, Brown’s three hours spent in jail led to a reduction in his penalty

Weeks after the incident, Brown responded with:

Just learn from it.” “I’m not a guy to get in trouble, so I just put it in my past and make sure I’m always doing the right thing at all times.”

The 25-year-old then went on to play 12 games with the Cardinals, averaging nearly 60 yards per game.
