It would be an understatement at this point to say that Suns’ Deandre Ayton is excited to be paired with Kevin Durant back on the court this Wednesday.

Although Phoenix acquired the 13-time all star almost two months ago, Durant has only played three games in a Suns uniform due to two different stretches of injury.

However, in those three games, Durant and the Suns were unstoppable, winning all three and clearly looking like the best team in the Western Conference.

From Deandre Ayton, “The Slim Reaper is on the way.”

Durant will make his home debut in Phoenix this Wednesday, and it could not have come at a more pivotal point.

The Suns hold the 4th spot in the Western Conference, but only 3.5 games separate them from the 11th seeded Dallas Mavericks. It truly is the wild, wild west right now.

And smack down in the middle of this mess are the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are tied with the Warriors in the 6th spot.

The Timberwolves will be riding a four-game win streak into Wednesday’s matchup, as they recently got three-time All Star Karl-Anthony Towns back from injury.

The big question is: Can the Slim Reaper and the Phoenix Suns put a halt to this hot streak and inch one game closer to clinching a playoff spot?
