In a pivotal Wednesday night matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Phoenix Suns will be without their big man Deandre Ayton for the second-straight game.
As of now, the Suns stand in the fourth spot of the Western Conference, however, all it would take is a string of losses for them to slip into a play-in spot quite quickly.
Phoenix was without Deandre Ayton as they took on the Thunder over the weekend, and his absence was notable. Even with Devin Booker putting on a show with 46 points, there was not enough help to bring them a road victory.
Additionally, Kevin Durant will remain on the sidelines due to his sprained ankle, which has prevented him from playing in more than three games with the Suns.
When asked about the unpredictable and unfortunate circumstances, Booker stated, “Everybody knows the goal.”

The Lakers, on the other hand, currently hold the 11th spot in the Western Conference. As they attempt to make a late-season push, Los Angeles will hope to take advantage of the thin Suns roster.
