
Robert Rodriguez will remain in Arizona, the former Arizona State University defensive line coach will be on the sidelines at State Farm Stadium as the Cardinals outside linebackers coach, per NFL insider Adam Schefter.
This will be Rodriguez’s second gig in the NFL; his first was as the Vikings’ assistant DL coach from 2015 to 2019.
Following his time in Minnesota, Rodriguez has spent the last two seasons at ASU.
Jonathan Gannon, the Cardinals’ new head coach, spent three seasons with the Vikings as their assistant defensive backs coach. Additionally, Sam Siefkes, the Cardinals’ new linebackers coach, spent last year as the assistant defensive backs coach in Minnesota.
Gannon is bringing in a lot of close companions that he has met during his already lengthy 15-season NFL coaching career.
