It turns out Isiah Thomas will not be joining the Suns for a front office position according to Duane Rankin of AZ Central.
A spokesperson for new #Suns team owner Mat Ishbia told The Republic Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas won't have a position in the team's front office and isn't part of the team transition.
Ishbia and Thomas are friends.

It turns out to be a false alarm as Mat Ishbia and Thomas are just good friends and nothing is imminent between the two guys teaming up for business principles.

Ishbia is expected to speak tomorrow at Footprint Center at 11:30 A.M. In regard to his new purchase of the Suns. I would expect he could get a lot of questions regarding the team and the news of Thomas.
