The Phoenix Suns Need to be Active in a Trade ASAP

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns should be the next teams name you hear involved in a blockbuster trade. With the Jae Crowder situation, and rumors circling around Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul. The Suns need to be active this week in the trade talk. Expect them to do something huge in the next coming days, or hours.

What are they Missing?

The Suns have been plagued with injuries most of the season which made it hard to truly evaluate this team at their full strength. However while piecing things together it is clear of one thing.

They are missing that alpha dog as a second option behind Devin Booker. This roster has amazing role players, hall of fame point guard, and a number one overall pick.

Yet, the role players have struggled to step up beyond their role. The hall of fame point guard is closer to his hall of fame speech than his prime, and the former number one overall pick is too passive to truly take over and impact games.

The Phoenix Suns can patch up these holes with the right trade this week. They have guys they can move that other teams are surely interested in.

The Suns need to fire on one of these trades before the deadline later this week.

Durant Drama…

The Suns are trying to get in on the Durant drama, I personally believe they should look smaller. Try to not give up too much to get a superstar in return. Come playoff time, the Suns will miss some of those glue guys in the lineup.

Phoenix should be looking at guys who can step in and become the best number 2 option in the league behind Booker. Who is set to fully return in the next week.
