After leaving Friday’s practice early due to a knee issue, the Cardinals have officially ruled DeAndre Hopkins out for Week 17.

NFL insider Adam Schefter was first with the news this morning.

Since coming off a six-week suspension, Hopkins has been dealing with numerous injuries that have left him questionable for a multitude of games. Over the past two seasons, this will be his 14th game standing on the sidelines.

With the season coming to an end, a fourth-string quarterback starting, and the playoffs out of the picture, there is no reason for the five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver to cause any more harm to his knee.

David Blough, the Cardinals’ starting quarterback for this Sunday, will instead focus on wide receivers Greg Dortch and Marquise Brown.

This game will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, kickoff will be at 11 a.m. Arizona time.
