
In the first MLB Draft Lottery, the Arizona Diamondbacks landed the No.12 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft. Arizona had thr 11th worst record in baseball, at 74-88, and had a 1.4% chance of getting the first pick.
The Diamondbacks also had a 12.5% chance at a top-six pick and a 54.9% to retain the No.11 slot. Some teams jumped up in the draft, and the Minnesota Twins went from No.13 to No.5. The Texas Rangers jumped up three spots to No.4, and so did the Detroit Tigers, who now have the No.3 pick. The No.1 pick went to the Pittsburgh Pirates, who moved two spots.
