What the Suns need to prepare for…

The Suns need to be ready for a few things against this new and improved Timberwolves team. One of them is containing Anthony Edwards, who averages over 22 points a game in this still young season.

Edwards has been on the rise to stardom since his first season in the NBA. Most recent praise coming from LeBron James after the Timberwolves beat the Lakers last week. James posted a picture of Edwards and added the text “He’s a Bad Boy, Young King”

Also, with Deandre Ayton still nursing an ankle injury, Minnesota will look to take advantage down low. Big man Karl-Anthony Towns and newly acquired Rudy Gobert will be a force to be reckoned with inside of the paint on both ends.

Towns has been on a tear early this year, averaging 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assist a game at the power forward position.

Rudy Gobert, the former 3 time defensive player of the year, is having his having one of his best offensive seasons to date averaging 14 points and 15 rebounds a game for Minnesota.

Suns Need to Lean on Experience…

Phoenix has the experience at the guard position and coaching to take control of the game, pace wise. Also Phoenix can move the ball getting good shots on offense.

The biggest challenge will be on the boards, the Suns will need all five players on defense to crash the boards hard. Back up big man Jock Landale for the Suns will be the x-factor tonight.
