The NFC West Remains Close

The NFC West has been an extremely competitive division over the past seasons. So far, this has not changed as all four teams are deadlocked at 2-2. This is the only division in the NFL to have a four-way tie heading into week 5. 49ers & Rams  On a much-anticipated Monday Night Football matchup, the 49ers improved their regular season winning streak against the Rams to 7 in a row. The 49er's defense proved why they are one of the best in the league with a clutch pick-6 late in the fourth quarter securing a week four win.  Oct 3, 2022; Santa Clara, California, USA; San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga (center) is congratulated by linebacker Dre Greenlaw (57) and defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr. (92) after running back an interception for a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams during the fourth quarter at Levi's Stadium. The 49ers will be on the road for their next two games against the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers.  The two division rivals will be facing off again at the end of October on the 30th.  Seattle Seahawks Led by a new quarterback, Geno Smith and the Seahawks are off to a much better start than many predicted. In a week one homecoming game for Russell Wilson, the Seahawks managed to begin the year 1-0 thanks to a couple of costly goal line fumbles by the Broncos.  Sep 12, 2022; Seattle, Washington, USA; Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson (left) leads a prayer circle with safety Justin Simmons (31) and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (7) following a 17-16 Seattle victory at Lumen Field. They were outscored 54-30 versus the 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons.  However, the offense quickly recovered putting up a whopping 48 points against the Detroit Lions. QB Geno Smith threw for 320 yards while RB Rashaad Penny ran for 151 on the ground plus two touchdowns.  The Seahawks will now be traveling to New Orleans to take on the 1-3 Saints.  Arizona Cardinals  The Cardinals have truly been a team of two halves as they have been outscored 66-13 in the first half through 4 games. Additionally, Arizona has failed to score in the first quarter this season.  However, even with the early struggles, somehow the Cards have managed to hold a .500 record. Their defense has stepped up after a poor week one performance and has kept games within reach.  Arizona now has a date with the undefeated Philidelphia Eagles followed by a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.  A Strong Second Half Leads to Cardinal's 26-16 Victory - Burn City Sports Phoenix Sports
