Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown hadn’t been to a Super Bowl, let alone had much success in the playoffs, during the first five years of his career.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Brown succumbed to two divisional losses in his three seasons as a Baltimore Raven; in his two lackluster seasons with the Cardinals, the veteran wide receiver didn’t even smell the postseason.
After a half a decade in the league, Hollywood was tired of not being under the celebratory lights. Brown tweeted out his yearn to play in the big dance on Super Bowl Sunday last season.
“Pray one day I get to experience a Super Bowl, Atmosphere crazy,” Brown tweeted.
A month later, he signed to the Super Bowl champions: the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs have dominated the 2020s, missing out on just one this decade. They’ve won three of those, including the last two in-a-row. Brown’s prayers were answered, signing to a Kansas City squad headed to yet another Super Bowl.

The veteran wide receiver is name that hasn’t been talked about much until the playoffs came about.
Brown should’ve been an open target all season for the Chiefs, expected to find the holes in between defenses consumed by the thought of tight end Travis Kelce and wide receiver Rashee Rice; however, a preseason shoulder injury and surgery sidelined Brown until the final two games of the regular season.
The time off didn’t seem to be much of a problem for Brown who has found his spot in the Chiefs’ dynamic offense throughout the postseason. He’s caught five passes in the postseason, three for 35 yards against the Bills.
In a postgame interview posted by Fox4 News Kansas City sports anchor Harold Kuntz, Brown called the feeling of making the game “surreal.”
“I’m just thanking God every day that I was able to come back and even be able to play,” Brown said. “Just to be in this position is just a blessing.”
