Arizona State Football head coach Kenny Dillingham said he’s looking for a wide receiver in the transfer portal and he got one.

Johnson could be strong pairing on the opposite side of redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, standing at 6’2″ and 210 pounds. Tyson was a transfer portal grab prior to the 2024 season and turned out to be one of the best decisions Dillingham made, winning the Big 12’s offensive newcomer of the year.
Maybe he will get the same results from Johnson.
The newest Sun Devil signed to Clemson as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2023. He caught three passes for 16 yards this season. If the Tigers are able to miraculously route Texas in the first round of the College Football Playoff, he will get a chance to see his new team play his old one.
Johnson is a huge pickup for a much needed wide receiver room that is losing a lot of people to graduation. It’s a solid signing, but Dillingham is not done yet.
With reports of former USC wide receiver Duce Robinson — the No. 1 high school recruit in Arizona in the Class of 2023 — on campus for an official visit this weekend, Dillingham is trying to give wide receivers coach Hines Ward as many gems as possible to mold so the Sun Devils can run it back next year.
