Tuesday marked not only Randal Grichuk’s 10 years of service time in the major leagues, but was also his 33rd birthday. Diamondbacks fans gave Grichuk a birthday to remember, with the fans in the left field bleachers singing him happy birthday. After the game, he expressed his gratitude on X.
To everyone in LF tonight, that was one of the cooler moments I’ve experienced on the field. Thank you to the WHOLE left field bleachers that sang me happy birthday inbetween the 4th inning tonight. I felt the love, that will definitely be a moment I will never forget! Thank you!

On his birthday, Grichuk went 1-for-3 with a double in the Diamondbacks’ 4-3 comeback win over the Rockies. He played the first seven innings on the field in left before Joc Pederson pinch-hit for him in the bottom of the seventh. Pederson lined out to right in his only at-bat and was replaced defensively by Alek Thomas in the eighth.
