“7 years… damn. I never wanted things to end like this,” Murray writes alongside a series of photos during his time with the Cardinals. “I want to acknowledge how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and optimism I’ve received since the news broke.”

Murray’s post focused heavily on the relationships he built within the organization, especially with his teammates, whom he said he wished he could have done more with during their time together.

“To my teammates… It breaks me the most that we never got it done,” Murray writes. “It’s hard to look at this past year and accept that it was our last run together. I truly wish it would’ve gone different for all of us.”

The former Cardinals quarterback also acknowledged the support system around him in Arizona, thanking the staff members who shared the daily effort of pursuing a championship in the Valley.

“To all the staff, from coaches to trainers etc. I will miss the process of chasing the ultimate goal together every day,” he writes.

Murray became the face of the franchise after being selected first overall in the 2019 NFL draft, helping elevate Arizona into playoff contention and earning two Pro Bowl selections. His size, speed and playmaking ability made him one of the league’s most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks, capable of extending plays with his legs while delivering accurate passes downfield.

Now, he moves on, but not before saying goodbye to the people who helped shape his career in Arizona.

The farewell reflects not only the disappointment of falling short of a championship but also Murray’s appreciation for those around him who helped elevate his career. Whether they were on the field beside him or working behind the scenes in quieter roles, Murray made sure to thank them.

“Lastly, I am no stranger to adversity, I am prepared for whatever’s next,” Murray writes at the end. “I trust in God and my work ethic. I truly believe my best ball is in front of me and I look forward to proving it, wherever that may be.”
