SCOTTSDALE – For decades, the WMO has been golf’s most chaotic masterpiece. A local tradition that became a national spectacle. For the 2026 Waste Management Open, the W Scottsdale hotel is leaning into that reality with its first-ever “First Course” package.

The W Scottsdale has the 2026 Waste Management Open covered:
At its core, the package solves a problem every Waste Management Open veteran knows too well: logistics. A Friday stay at W Scottsdale, historically one of the tournament’s most electric days, comes with dedicated transportation to and from TPC Scottsdale, eliminating the miles walked, the parking maze, and the rideshare roulette that define the week.

However, the real innovation lies in what happens when guests aren’t on the course. Throughout tournament week, the hotel transforms into a parallel venue. Poolside watch parties, golf simulators, DJ-driven energy, and cocktail programming replicate the Open’s pulse without requiring fans to chase it. An included dining credit at the property’s Roman-inspired restaurant adds another layer, turning meals into part of the event, not an interruption from it.

From Wednesday through Sunday, guests can test their own nerves in a hole-in-one simulator challenge, with a $10,000 prize on the line, a subtle reminder that competition fuels fandom at every level. Championship Sunday culminates with a large-screen poolside viewing experience, blending final-round drama with Scottsdale’s signature social scene.
The future of major sporting events isn’t just inside the gates. It’s in curated environments that respect fans’ time, amplify emotion, and turn attendance into immersion. At the Waste Management Open, the first shot of the week might no longer be on the course; it might be at the hotel.
