The NCAA transfer portal is not a popular topic for college football fans, because most feel it is an excuse for athletes to avoid adversity and competition when they are not being catered to.

However, a Big 12 program is racking up pieces to position itself for a possible College Football Playoff shot next fall.
Kenny Dillingham and Arizona State University are dominating the portal right now.
Arizona State bolsters RB room and secondary in transfer portal
Offensively, ASU has found its quarterback in Cutter Boley (formerly of Kentucky) and more. The Sun Devils added running backs David Avit (formerly of Villanova) and Marquis Gillis (formerly of Delaware State), wide receivers Raiden Vines-Bright (formerly of Washington), Omarion Miller (formerly of Colorado), and Reed Harris (formerly of Boston College).
Defensively, Arizona State acquired cornerbacks Ashton Stamps (formerly of LSU) and Caleb Chester (formerly of Texas), while having linebacker Zyrus Fiaseu be granted a sixth year of eligibility. Dillingham was also able to land a marquee specialist from the portal as Nick McLarty (formerly of Ohio State) committed to the Sun Devils. The 6-foot-7, 255-pounder from Australia totaled one punt for 45 yards in one matchup for the Buckeyes in 2025, but he has potential to be really good.
Arizona State hit on needs with this portal haul, yet Dillingham is not done yet. ASU is still hosting others names, including Alabama Wolf linebacker Noah Carter.
Carter, an Arizona native, could be the next player in line to commit to Dillingham.

We will continue to chart the progress, but the Sun Devils are making a killing in the portal.
